Q: Why won't my MX110 go into reverse when the range lever is in third or fourth range?
A: This is a safety feature on all Maxxum tractors. If the tractor were allowed to operate in reverse in third or fourth range, the ground speed would be to great for safe operation.
Q: My 3220 will not start - what should I do?
A: Check and see if the P.T.O. lever is in the neutral position. To assure that no one is injured by the P.T.O. at start up, the lever must be in neutral.
Q: How do you release the parking brake on a Magnum when it won't start?
A: Under the floor mat in the cab of the tractor, there is a lever that is used to release the brake pressure so that the Magnum can be towed a short distance. See page 92 of the operator's manual for more detailed instructions. The brakes on the Magnum are automatically applied when the engine is shut off in order to prevent the tractor from rolling on an uneven surface.
Q: How much does a service manual cost?
A: The price of a service manual is $200.00 to $400.00.
Q: What is the horsepower of an 8950?
A: The horsepower is 225 H/P.
Q: What is the static timing on 310 engine in a cotton picker?
A: 16 degrees.
Q: How long does it take to install a creeper kit on a Maxxum tractor?
A: Flat rate is 6 hours.
Q: Can I use any hydraulic oil on my Case tractor?
A: Any oil that meets or exceed Case's specifications can be used. Unfortunately, most hydraulic oils do not meet specifications. Hytran Plus is the recommended hydraulic fluid of choice.
Q: Why do you use Case's warranty flat rate manual for your service repairs?
A: To maximize and monitor technician's productivity and to control labor costs for our customers.
Q: What is the torque on a cylinder head for a 310 engine?
A: The torque is 110lbs with a plastic seal gasket. The sequence is 30lbs, 60lbs, and 110lbs.
